Word of advice: If you’re ever going to do a major home renovation be sure to double or even triple the amount of time that you think it’s going to take. Yep, that’s right. Colton and I are still knee deep in our remodel which is one of the reasons why I’ve been posting so sporadically lately. Pretty much every second of my free time is going towards working on our house. The house and I have a very love/hate relationship going on right now. I love the way it’s all turning out but I hate how long everything is taking (especially when we’re doing the majority of it ourselves) and living in a construction site is never fun.

The other reason I’ve been a little MIA lately is I feel like I’d kind of just lost my creativity in the style department and needed to take a break to get my creative juices flowing again. Does that happen to anyone else? It seems to happen to me at least twice per year, towards the end of winter and again towards the end of summer. You know, when it’s not quite time to begin dressing for the next season and you’re just so sick of everything in your closet but refuse to buy anything until the that next season rolls around? Yeah, that’s kind of been me for the last month or so. Luckily, my closet and I had a nice little heart-to-heart and it turns out we can be friends again.

It always hard work to redo a home. I have been work room by room on mine.

Oh, I saw this look over on Pinterest and had to come on over and see the whole thing! Love the color palette;) I go back and forth on inspiration, too, and right now I have little to zero of it. I'm trying to remember quality over quantity in the blog department, so that helps. Also, Pinterest!
