Windowpane Shirtdress

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. My little sister Makenzie is getting married on Friday, so I’m looking forward to the next few days of celebrating her and her future husband. Colton is pretty excited too because he gets to have Luke (my sister’s fiancé) as his brother-in-law. Makenzie and Luke met and started dating at their college in Iowa. A few years ago, Luke moved to Arizona and didn’t have any friends yet and was looking for a place to temporarily live. Colton had just bought a house, so it was perfect timing for Luke to move in. They’d never met each other prior to him moving here, but they immediately hit it off and the temporary roommate situation ended up lasting over two years until it was time for Colton and I to get married. Needless to say, Luke is now one of Colton’s best friends!

The weather here in Arizona is finally starting to cool down. I was worried my sister was going to be getting married in triple digit weather in the middle of November based on the record breaking temperatures we’ve been having. Thankfully, it’s settled into the 70’s and low 80’s which means I can finally really start to bust out some of my Fall clothes. I recently picked up this windowpane shirtdress from Nordstrom and absolutely love it. I can it wear it by itself during the warmer part of the day and throw a jacket over it at night. This faux-leather jacket is one of my favorite items in my closet because it can be worn with just about anything and is so well-constructed and flattering. I can’t believe it’s under $100! I finished off my look with a pair of black over-the-knee boots and a black crossbody bag. I’ve also worn the dress with a pair of tan booties and a burgundy cardigan for a more casual daytime look.

Thanks for stopping by!
